The Ty Mawr Collection is in Llanfrynach, just 3 miles from the historic market town of Brecon. So some of the finest walking in Wales begins right from your doorstep. Explore gentle waterside routes along the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, just a short walk from the estate, or venture into the mountains to discover iconic peaks including Pen y Fan and Fan y Big. For guests travelling with dogs, our private twelve-acre parkland provides plenty of space to roam before setting out into the wider Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

Beyond walking, the Brecon Beacons is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts - cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing, fishing, climbing, sailing and even paragliding, all within easy reach of Ty Mawr. Explore the fascinating National Showcaves Centre for Wales.
